Ok, reason number 12345678765432 as to why i updated my blog after so many months to write again - to vent.

Seriously, no other place or person in my humble opinion, can ever replace this. Blogging, that is. Or writing, journalling, elle-jaying whatever. So. what to vent about? As for now, there is nothing, thankfully. But here's a thought, something which struck me while i was cleaning my own toilet ( now that the maid's gone, self-reliance has become the new in thing ) ;

I come here because i have nowhere else to go.

Well, its been a while obviously. Since I last blogged, that is. I don't even know what exactly made me do it - perhaps i was tired, disinterested, or simply moving on. Which brings me back to why im writing again, now. Lets just say there's a reason why blogger's so popular, now even my mom has a blog.

Anyway. I doubt i'll be able to post that regularly, the way i used to previously. Mostly i guess i'll come when i want to - or when i have to. Yes, sometimes people do feel compelled to blog about certain incidents. Also, there's that thing they say about writing improving your general English - blogging's a form of writing - well, typing actually but still, i shudder to think what would have been the state of my vocabularly should I not have embraced blogging way back in sec one. Horrendous, i predict. However, past is past and i really hope to get back here, writing, because there simply is no other better place i'd like to be. really.

And also i really have to improve my vocabulary, not to mention my spelling. *shudders*

Well, its about time I posted, so here I am.

March holidays came, and went. They were just 10 days of lazing around, anyway.

Learning journeys are going on now, so yay, there hasn't really been much of school.

Till now, we've had the Kampong Glam trip, which was really quite useless since most of us had already gone for it way back in p4 so it was more like a revisit. Pity there weren't enough tapioca chips to go around, though. ( THEY WERE AWESOMELY YUMMY. )

Random quote from the KG trip,

And then there was the Lower pierce Bio trip. One word to describe it - wet.

Siriuzly, it was RAINING and my umbrella had to happily break halfway which meant I had to run around squeezing under the umbrellas of other people. Gah. Now that's TWO umbrellas broken, in two consecutive days too. ( I broke another one during the KG trip, but managed to fix it later, haha )

Oh, and something really funny happened during the trip. It's hard to describe, but i shall try.

Well, basically I went to the dustbin to throw my oreo wrapper ( It was the only edible thing around, so naturally, I became the unofficial food supplier. Not counting those eating tien li's forest-berries-which-taste-soury-sweet-and-make-your-tongue-black. haha ) Yes, so then, this REALLY STRONG gust of wind blew, and then the oreo wrapper kinda blew away JUST AS I was about to throw it in. *pictures scene* So I kept running behind the stupid oreo wrapper, in between the tai chi people and gardeners, followed by loads of laughter from everybody. *face palms* And hmph, teri couldn't stop laughing about it.

There. That's the so called very funny description of what happens when you're trying to throw an empty oreo wrapper into the big, green dustbins of Lower Pierce Reservoir and the wind chooses that particular moment to blow.hmph.

Besides that, WE SAW MONKEYS! haha, and ironically, they were perching on the sign which said, ' DO NOT FEED THE MONKEYS' all the while eating stolen bananas.

Yups, and then, since the school's really unreliable in terms of timings and stuff, we got released late, as usual and went back to school tired, sleepy and very, very HUNGRY.

So I decided to go get bubble tea for myself, and took the new flavour Ashima recommended. ( Passionfruit red tea with peach jelly. )

Damn, it's yummy.

On another note, I absolutely LOVE my new laptop, now that it had vista, microsoft 2007 and all the other new new thingys installed. YAY.

In fact, I'm using Windows live write to post now. It's definitely more reliable than blogger, which tends to die on you when you post you're longest and most detailed post ever. HMPH.

Shucks there's a math test on Wednesday. WISH ME LUCK.

And I SO need a new blogskin. Will probably go hunting for one next weekend.

Till then, I shall attempt to absorb everything and anything about partial fractions.

I feel lazy, therefore I shall write in point form.

1) First of all, HAPPY FOUNDER'S DAY EVERYONE!

2) And if you thought I was the one on stage, all painted white and holding a paintbrush, you were wrong.

3) Because I was sitting right next to you, wasn't I?

4) And no, I wasn't the one who smeared your face with the white paint, either.

5) Also, it is really very hard to get rid of all that silver hairspray and white paint off yourself. We ended up bathing for and hour, and completely scrubbing ourselves. And there was still white paint after we finished. Oh and we used 3 tubs of wet wipes and an entire bottle of baby oil.

6) Ok fine I was lying about not being stage. ( SO SUE ME. )

7) YAY WE GOT FREE FOOD. Including turkish ice cream!

8) Surprisingly, the icing on the RGS cake is almost inedible. The cake's fine though. AND THE STRAWBERRY AND BLUEBERRY GARNISHING ON TOP IS THE LOVE.

9) And I love the turkish guys! ( In a purely platonic sense, ok! )

10) And this point is just here because 10's a nice number.

So, then, I went home and slept for a solid 10 hours. Woke up at 1am and slept again at 4am.
( GOSH AM I BECOMING AN INSOMIAC?! )

Nah, it was probably cause they made us go reach school at the unearthly hour of 6.15. SIX FIFTEEN.

RAWR.

Atleast I made it up. The sleep, that is. I might even grow taller. YAY.

And now, I have to go complete two random chemistry assignments and cheer very very very loudly as INDIA JUST WON THE MATCH. YAY (((:

OSL.

So, I did not get in.

Obviously it was a hard blow, I won't pretend it wasn't. Because OSL was really one of the few things which I wanted to get in to. Really and truly. More than PSB, more than house comm, congress... more than all of this. And more. And not because its just another thing to display on my portfolio.

I was so upset about it that I ended up crying on the way back home. In the MRT, getting weird stares from people. In fact, I was already tearing when I got the results. But I still tried to hug and congratulate the rest. Because moping around and emoing would be really very selfish of me. And stupid, too.

The thing I probably hate most about all this is knowing that I'll probably never see half the people I got to know ever again. After all the meetings, sessions, mentoring, ppt slides and random outings. After all of this.

And that, really sucks.

Then again, some really cool people didnt get in either. She didnt, either. Perhaps it's better that way. Now, we have things in common to talk/complain/emo about.

But what I really can't understand is, how come I never get into anything I want in this school? Even if I give a 100%,110%,120%... or more.

Maybe it's just not meant to be. Maybe I never had the qualities they were looking for.

Or maybe, I just suck at everything.

On another note, immediately after the session ended, me and ashley went over to subway to grab things to eat and then we went to watch SHARKWATER! Which is really a very awesome movie, if you ask me. Plus, the guy was hot. (:

Also, SHARK EXPLOITATION= BAD BAD BAD. stop eating sharks fin people! Because they are living things too, and have a right to life. Plus, we kill more sharks every year than they kill us. Which is really very stupid of us, if you think about it. And sharks dont even attack unless provoked. So, save sharks too! As well as the pandas and tigers and elephants.

What I really liked most about the movie was that it focused on people as well. It wasn't just a random documentary with lots of shark pictures, it was like a part of someone's life. These people actually risked their lifes to save sharks. ( And when I say risk their lifes, I mean from the shark fin mafia, not the sharks. ) And rob stewart lying in bed hospitalised proves that fact. Plus, the filmography and picturisation was also excellent for an amateur director.

So, go watch it people, if you can! Or atleast pledge to support the sharks HERE! ( Scroll down and go to the various websites and click online petition )
